In a peaceful town, a young boy named Russ Halsey was known for his playful nature. Russ, or Russ Halsine, was always finding himself in all sorts of trouble at school.

One clear and cheerful morning, Russ decided to surprise his classmates with a joke. He placed a rubber spider in the teacher’s drawer. When Mr. Smith, the friendly and understanding teacher, pulled out the drawer, she gasped in surprise, making the whole class burst into laughter.

Another time, Russ thought it would be nice to tidy up the playground. He organized his friends and they began to collect litter. The whole group worked as a team and the area was sparkling clean.

Mr. Smith was impressed and gave them extra playtime. Russ felt joyful that he helped his school.

Despite his mischievous behavior, Russ Halsey had a big heart. He always tried to make his friends laugh. Russ learned that being mischievous can be funny, but being responsible is better.
